But many people still don’t have an idea about the 5 things which helped Mr. Narendra Damodar Modi in achieving a world renowned success. While he also is an impeccable speaker himself, but there is a lot that takes to be so successful or at this level like Mr. Modi has been till date.


Mr. Modi is a vegetarian and is very careful about his diet and nutrition. The benefits of being a vegetarian are innumerable. Scientific studies have shown that a vegetarian diet improves energy, endurance and have a lower risk of heart disease and diabetes. Mr. Modi has simple food-habits like having Rotis and khichdi in Gujarati style. He avoids fast food since childhood and snacks on food like idli, dosa and poha. Modi has his own cook, Badri Meena, who travels with him wherever he goes.

Being a leader, Mr. Modi has to give plenty of speeches and lectures and thus has to take good care of his throat. For this, he consumes lukewarm water even during summers to prevent a sore throat. He prefers lemonade over other drinks. It may be one of the reasons of his glowing face.

Walking barefoot on the grass/different turfes

PM Modi walks barefoot on grass. Now, this exercise has numerous advantages. Apart from keeping our feet healthy, walking barefoot on grass improves eyesight and relieves stress. It helps to rejuvenate the senses and calms the mind. It further strengthens the muscles in your feet and ankles.
He also walks on different turfes known as “Panchtatvas” like water, pebbles, grass. etc. This exercise was inspired by the “Panchtatvas or 5 elements of nature – Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash“. The exercise is supposed to help in strengthening joints and muscles.


PM Modi also sits on a rock with one of legs half-crossed and meditating. From reducing stress to increasing concentration level, meditation has amazing benefits. It is a great source of energy and increases self-awareness as well. Furthermore, it helps in improving cardiovascular health and slows down ageing.

Nadi Shodhana asanna

It is an Alternate Nostril exercise, in which, one needs to use their right thumb and close the right nostril first. Slowly inhale through the left nostril and close it with your ring finger. Repeat this with your left thumb and on your left nostril as well. Continue doing this for a few number of times. This pranayam helps in releasing toxins and purifies the respiratory channels.

Stretching exercises

Mr. Modi also do stretching exercises on a rock. Now, stretching helps in keeping the body flexible and promotes blood circulation. It also reduces cholesterol and revitalises your energy levels.

Today, due to these 5 activities he has been able to achieve outstanding popularity and respect not only in India but across the world. It has been such that his political party BJP has been able to fetch a record 300+ seats in Lok Sabha 2019 elections. It was last seen in 1984 when INC won 404 seats in the LS elections.
